Mentor Program

Men-tor (men’tor’, ter) n. [Lat. <Gk. Mentor] A wise and trusted teacher or counselor.

Our mentor program is one of the excellent resources available to you from now until the event. All of our mentors are volunteers who have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas, and are willing to share it with you.

  • bicycle selection and fit.
  • clothing and equipment.
  • training and routes.
  • nutrition.
  • stretching.
  • fundraising.
  • positive energy and encouragement.
  • HIV and AIDS information.

Mentors are also available to simply validate that you’re on the right track with your training and fundraising. They can empathize with you, since almost all of them have been involved in long distance bicycle fundraising events in the past.
