Our Mission Statement

Our event is presented by the Capital City AIDS Fund and Executive Committee as a CHALLENGE for all who desire to prevent and end the suffering caused by HIV and AIDS. We are almost totally volunteer-produced to ensure as high a return on revenue as possible for those who depend on us.

As the organizers of the only cycling event to directly benefit those living with HIV and AIDS in the inland Northern California region, we make these promises:

  • for those affected or infected, to stand by their side in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
  • for our Beneficiaries, to return the maximum amount of revenue and to promote their programs of social services, medical care, and education.
  • for the Donors, to provide impeccable practices in fundraising and forthright reporting of results.
  • for our Sponsors, to provide visibility for them and appreciation for their generosity.
  • for the Communities along the route, to engage them in the event and provide visibility for the cause.
  • for the Cyclists and Crew, to create a safe, memorable, and inspiring experience, and a way for them to act on their compassion.
  • for those not yet involved in the fight against HIV and AIDS, to provide inspiration for their future action.

Accepting the CHALLENGE is our way to confront AIDS, remember our loved ones, and celebrate the courage of those living with HIV and AIDS among us.
