Our event is produced through the combined efforts of the Capital City AIDS Fund [CCAF] and the NorCal AIDS Challenge Executive Committee. These organizations provide the fiscal administration, publicity, and planning necessary for a successful event.
Capital City AIDS Fund, Inc. [CCAF] was created almost ten years ago as a nonprofit 501 (3) fund raising organization to help raise funds for local and regional nonprofit HIV/AIDS service agencies. Since its inception, it has raised and donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to local non profit HIV/AIDS service organizations. The Board of Directors is totally volunteer-driven and currently oversees the annual Sacramento Valley AIDS Walk and An Evening With Oscar.

You can find out more about the Capital City AIDS Fund at http://www.capcityaidsfund.org/.

The NorCal AIDS Challenge Executive Committee is a group of cyclists and community members dedicated to ending the AIDS pandemic. Our goal is to maximize revenue for the beneficiaries by producing the event on a mostly pro-bono and volunteer basis

The Executive Committee coordinates the activities of the following all-volunteer planning committees:

1. route design.
2. route logistics and communication.
3. crew and volunteers.
4. rest stop.
5. participant support [training and fundraising].
6. medical.
7. food – ice – beverage.
8. sponsorships and affiliations.
9. orientation and ceremonies.
10. marketing and publicity.
11. community recruitment.
12. evening program and activities.
